Now that both the logbook and IA report had been submitted, I felt relieved a lot. Now that the workload at the office is still a lot. To summarize, below are the lists of tender projects I had been dealing with. All involved costs extimation.
- UNSW-Asia
- NUS - Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine
- ADWEA Sewage Water Treatment Plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE
- The Burj Dubai
- Ngee Ann Secondary School
- The Straits Trading
- Marina Bay Integrated Resort
For all the above tender projects, together with my supervisor and my one other colleague, we managed to won the UNSW-Asia Changi Campus tender project. However, with a little students enrolled and possible future losses, the UNSW decided to pull out its operation completely from Singapore and this tender project had to be cancelled by them. Super sad, after all the hard work, and after declared as the winner of the tender bid, it finally came to an end.
Anyway, after the NTU tutor’s visit, for this past few days, a new tender project came in and we had to help our organization’s supervisor on doing the marina bay sands integrated resort. Wow, it’s a prestigious project to say the least.

Consisted of three hotel towers with every tower contains 57 floors with one sky roof at the 56th floor, the layout of this IR is just awesome.

Artist’s impression. Look at that hand like structure on the bottom far right. It is dubbed as the ’science meets art’ museum. It is three storeys high consisted of galleries, a lobby and a cafe overlooking the downtown. Cool.

As you can see, there’s a sky garden on the very top of those three towers. Designed to have a jogging track, swimming pool, restaurants and spa for the hotel guests to enjoy the panoramic view of the city.
Now imagine this:

swimming on the very top of the world or dining one of the best restaurants in the world with view overlooking the marina bay and the downtown!
No doubt only those high ends could afford those facilities. Talking about money power eh. When thinking about the poor people and poor economic condition back in Indonesia, it is heart tearing.
